very nice room- spacious and well appointed.

    Bit noisy due to wedding

    Very good

We did not stay long enough or use many of the facilities to make a proper judgement. So all we can say is that the hotel met with our expectations for an overnight stay. There was a relaxed feeling about the visit and while it was very busy and noisy on the Saturday night we felt the staff were very attentive at all times.

One small comment, not a criticism, was that we were not warned to lock our room door when going for meals. We naturally assumed the door was self locking.

    Fabulous

Tranquil; comfortable room; friendly staff; good selection of beers in the lively bar (and room well away from noise). Breakfast good except for mushrooms, which had been cooked I know not how, certainly not fried.

Nine is perhaps a little early to stop serving in the restaurant. Mushrooms at breakfast.

    Noisy because of the pub

    Fabulous

Good locatiom - easy to get to from the motorway and good access to Morecambe and the Lakes. Comfortable bed. Big room.

I would have liked a bath as well as a shower. The self service breakfast table was a bit sparse- had to ask for bowls - no extras like fruit or yoghurts, croissants or pastries although cooked breakfast was excellent.

    Superb

The staff at breakfast so helpfull and nothing was to much triouble. Food good plus good menu. Rooms comfortable bright, nice little touches even though it was small. Bathroom very nice and clean with white towels.

The bar staff need a ;ittle customer serice training.Such as throwing change in your hand and saying nothing when they give you 85pence of 5pence pieces.

    Superb

We booked a room in the new wing but were given the choice of a coach room which we accepted as it was spotless and full of charm. The bed linen was clean, as were the fluffy white towels. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was good and although there was traffic noise this wasn't a problem. The appearance of the inn is very pretty with the lovely hanging baskets. It was a pleasure to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. The food was very good and the service in the restaurant was excellent. We would like to visit again to do the canal walk.

It was disappointing that breakfast was not included in the booking. The price of food and drink was expensive compared with other hotels we have stayed of a similar rating.

    Superb

Hotel staff were very welcoming and the booking in was quick and easy. The restaurant was full but phoning ahead a table was reserved. The choice of menu was traditional and the quality of food was very good. There was a little bit of noise from the bar but this was not a problem. Overall I would recommend Longlands is is a good friendly run establishment.
