The hotel and decor were very nice, and the countryside and quiet very good. The cottage was fairly spacious and well equipped.
Very limited vegetarian choice in the restaurant. The rooms in my cottage were cold,
Lovely courage and breakfast.
the cottage was plush, welcoming and exceeded my expectations ( A very high standard throughout )
I loved it so much I may even arrange to take my wife
very clean comfortable accommodation short drive from south lakes.
the staff were very helpfull cottage was very clean
This is the second visit to longlands, good location for exploring the lake district. The cottages are well equipped ,furnished to a good standard Really enjoyed our stay will be coming back again.
The setting is beautiful, with the marina behind and the Lancaster canal running alongside. The cottages themselves have been designed and built to a very high tasteful specification. They are situated apart from the hotel but within easy walking distance, about 2 minutes, within a gated compound, surrounded by attractive gardens. The interiors are gorgeous, beautifully fitted out with leather sofa and chairs, deliciously comfortable beds with luxurious bedding, and lovely solid oak bedroom furniture. Ample electric sockets, and tasteful decor. The bathrooms are superb and the kitchen is fitted out with top of the range appliances and ample equipment.
There was absolutely nothing not to like. In fact I would be very happy to move in and live in one of the cottages, and I live in a lovely converted barn. Nothing has been left to chance in the fitting out and decoration of these cottages, they are delightful.
Facilities and location. Meal at the Italian restaurant at Greenlands Farm very good.
We have stayed at Tewitfield Marine a few times. This time we were closer to the motorway (Kingfisher House) and noise was more noticable but did not detract fom our stay.
Location , quality of accommodation and good value for money. Also liked food and the atmosphere in the bar and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The. Outrages were lovely and well equipped.
It would have been nice if wifi was available in cottages. Then it would have been good for a business stay. Having Internet availability is becoming essential in this day and age. Wifi was available in the main hotel building but was not very good (intermittent).
the cottages are beautiful , far nicer than the pictures show. there is ample parking , a lovely pub/restraunt and the staff were very helpful and polite. i will be going again and would reccomend anyone to stay there. our cottage had two large bedrooms, 2 shower/bathrooms ,tv in each bedroom and lounge area. very modern and lovely furnishings. ideal location for the lake district and surrounding area.the cottages are next to the canal and there are lovely walks.
there was nothing to dislike about longlands cottages.
We were disappointed as we were not booked in to the cottage we had booked but into a room. But the room was fine and we were given a complimentary meal. But the whole reason for going there was to see the cottages for possible Christmas stay there.
Spaciousness of the cottages and closeness to the pub which served good food. Greenlands Farm was walking distance with activities for children, farmshop and wine shop.
Very well set up modern accommodation with comfortable furnishing and fully equipped plus dishwasher and washing machine.
There was a problem with the heating which we reported on leaving and were told that someone would be sent to check it that day.
The location and value for money was excellent. The cottage i stayed in was beautiful.
My criticism was that the heating was not getting warm enough for this cold weather and i had two small children with me who were very cold. The underfloor heating also wasnt working in one bathroom and someone came to look at it, said they would call someone about it and then that was it never heard from them again.
